Sterling Art Nouveau Iris Pattern Berry Spoon Durgin Silver Co.
Here is a beautiful sterling silver berry or serving spoon, that measures approx. 9 inches long, and weighs approx. 204 grams. It dates from the early 1900's, and is in the very beautiful Art Nouveau "Iris" pattern, with flowing foliage and flowers on the handle, and a beautifully pierced bowl framed by swirling designs.
It is marked "Sterling", and "D" for the Durgin Silver Co. It also bears the stamp of "McClelland & Becker", probably the retailers. It's in very good used condition, clean and bright, with no repairs or restorations. The bowl has traces of the original gold gilt, top & bottom. It has never been monogrammed.
All in all, an absolutely gorgeous piece of Art Nouveau silver!
